Sonja McGill is a labor and employment partner for Bell Nunnally & Martin, a full-service firm in Dallas, Texas, where she represents companies in the areas of employment law, labor law, business-based immigration and commercial litigation. She also recently began her practice as a commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
Sonja received her law degree and master in public affairs from the University of Texas at Austin. She has served as board chair for the Oak Cliff YMCA when it became the first AmeriCorps site in Dallas, and for Theatre Three, Dallas’ second oldest theater, guiding the organization through its first strategic planning process.
Currently she serves on the advisory board for the Coalition for a New Dallas, an advocacy group focused on revitalizing Dallas’ urban core, and is a board member for Fair Park First and the SPCA of Texas. Sonja is also active with the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity Fellows program, and the Center for Women in Law at the University of Texas, which is devoted to the success of women in law from first-year students to experienced attorneys.
