Omar L. Simmons is the managing partner at Exaltare Capital Partners (ECP). He also ran ECP Planet Fitness as chief executive officer from 2012 to 2015 and is currently executive chairman of the company.
Prior to co-founding Exaltare, Omar was a director at Windjammer Capital Investors, a leading middle-market private investment firm with over $2 billion under management. Previously he had been a co-founder and managing director at Reliant Equity Investors, a private equity firm based in Chicago.
Omar also has worked at leading private equity firms such as Summit Partners and McCown De Leeuw & Co. He started his career helping Fortune 500 businesses as a management consultant at Marakon Associates. Omar received a bachelor’s degree from Princeton and graduated from Harvard Business School with honors.
