Lisa Scalice

Lisa Scalice

Lisa Malia Scalice currently serves as the senior department manager of physics at Princeton. She manages a team of nearly 40 staff members who support the research and teaching mission of the department. Prior to this role, Lisa was assistant dean of the faculty, managing appointments, advancements, salaries, and other personnel matters for academic researchers and professionals on campus. Lisa also has been a department manager of psychology at Princeton.

At Princeton Lisa has helped initiate employee resource groups including the Latino Princetonians and helped create the Postdoctoral Council for scholars, fellows and researchers from all disciplines.

Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Lisa’s professional goal was to become a corporate attorney. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and business law, she worked at Sullivan & Cromwell, a large, blue-chip law firm in New York. There she realized her passion was in higher education. She left the firm after five years to pursue a master’s in higher education management at the University of Pennsylvania.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and watching football and bad reality TV.
