Kevin C. Dowdell ’83

Kevin is a managing director at Dalya Partners (a life sciences strategy consulting firm), an entrepreneur and a proud dad – and he has had an extraordinary career “arc.”

As managing director of Dalya Partners, Kevin and his team are partnering with the Boston Consulting Group to establish a strategy for a major university to create a global center to better prepare our nation and the world for the next pandemic.

Prior to joining Dalya, Kevin invested in and ran Montgomery Tennis Plex, an eight-court indoor tennis center in Montgomery County, Maryland, and he was CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, which had 20 clubs in the D.C. metropolitan area.

In the world of media, Kevin was VP of Business Development and Interactive for HBO where he led a team that received an interactive TV patent as part of their effort to create “HBO on Demand.” Kevin then founded and served as CEO for Volume Media, a social network wholly-owned by Home Box Office (HBO). Prior to his time at HBO, Kevin had the honor of co-founding and serving as Executive Director for Arthur Ashe’s Safe Passage Foundation.

During his spare time, Kevin plays competitive tennis and is seeking to acquire additional tennis and fitness clubs.

And during his prime time, Kevin raises his seven-year old daughter, London.

Kevin earned his BSE in Management Systems Engineering from Princeton University and his MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Wharton Business School.
