John Weaver is a technology professional with over 25 years of experience. In 2010, John founded Varsity Software, a consulting company that specializes in helping technology startups launch and grow software products.
Prior to starting Varsity Software, John co-founded a company with three other Princeton alumni called Reunion Technologies that developed a software platform to help colleges and universities like Princeton, Harvard and Yale raise money from alumni.
Before venturing into the entrepreneurial world, John worked in the music industry as the vice president of information technology at Time Warner’s Elektra Records during Sylvia Rhone’s presidency of the label. After the company’s merger with AOL, John served as the vice president and chief information officer at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), a national nonprofit that has invested $20 billion since 1979 to revitalize communities across the United States.
A native of the Bronx, New York, John received his master’s in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is married to Karen Jackson Weaver ’94 and they are the parents of Adia ’21 and John III.
