Fadzi Makanda currently serves as director of digital strategy and investments at Sony Music, where she focuses on investments in music, media, and technology. Previously she was a member of the iHeartMedia ventures team, where she structured investments and strategic partnerships in areas including advertising technology, data, virtual reality, video, and podcasts. Prior to iHeart, she helped build a Netflix model for African content at the startup iROKOtv.
Fadzi holds a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School. She began her career at Credit Suisse. Outside of work, Fadzi supports the performing arts and serves on the Alvin Ailey Young Patrons Steering Committee.
