Andre Perry '00

Writer Andre Perry currently lives and works in Iowa City, Iowa, with his family. His work has been published in The Believer, Catapult, Granta and many other journals. He received his master’s in fine arts from the University of Iowa’s Nonfiction Writing Program.

In his work as an arts advocate in Iowa City, he co-founded Mission Creek Festival, a celebration of music and literature, as well as the multidisciplinary exploration of the unknown, Witching Hour Festival. Most recently he has worked on behalf of The Englert Theatre, Iowa City’s last historic theater, helping to advance their mission of inspiring positive community growth through the arts.
